Alessandro Pizzo (1972)
Alessandro Pizzo started painting traditionally but soon abandoned the usual framework. The
search for something new resulted in the use of wine. Critics labeled him “unusual artist,
willingly contradicting fixed schemes”.
After a few years of constant research he went along other expressive languages, utilizing
in the end different techniques and materials.
The result of these new works mainly ends up lacking in color, an area for new “collapses”.
Since 2010 he has had exhibits in Padova, Rome, Naples, the Second Biennale in Chianciano,
the 54th Venice Biennale, and Palermo, Perugia, the 13th Biennale in
Casalserugo, the Turin Biennale, Massa, Genoa, Lugano (Switzerland), Paris, Berlin and, in
2013, the First Biennale in Palermo.
He has been featured in national and international Art Books and Reviews.
He works in Padova.
